International Baccalaureate (IB) Credit

Danville Area Community College recognizes credit earned through International Baccalaureate (IB) Programme Examinations.  However, DACC requires a minimum score, set for each exam.  The minimum score required and the number of semester hours awarded is based on guidelines set by the American Council on Education (ACE).  The required scores, available credit, and course equivalencies granted at DACC are listed below:

Note: IB course programs are divided into standard level (SL) and higher level (HL). In some instances, students must have completed one or the other to earn the equivalent credit at DACC. When “SL” or “HL” designations are not noted, either level of coursework will meet the course equivalency requirements.
