Blackboard Collaborate Ultra Application Sharing

Blackboard Collaborate Ultra Application Sharing

One great feature of Blackboard Collaborate Ultra is the ability to share content such as documents and files, your computer screen or an application on your computer, web pages, or a blank “whiteboard.” You can also conduct polling of participants and place them into breakout groups.  Read here for details on how to share an Application (or your computer screen) with students.

Sharing an Application or your Screen in Blackboard Collaborate Ultra

To share content in Blackboard Collaborate Ultra you should have already inserted the tool link in the content area and created a session.  Once you have done that you can join a session.  In the session, you can share content.

Sharing an Application

  1. Click on the purple tab at the bottom right of the session screen to open the “Collaborate Menu.”

  5. If you share your Entire Screen students will be able to see everything that you have open and your tabs, etc.  They cannot take control of your desktop, they can only view it.

Note: When you opt to share your entire screen, you may see a prompt asking if you want to share your entire screen. Share your screen.

  6. If you select Just an Application, you will be asked which application you want to share.  Choose the application you want to share. NOTE:  You must already have the application open before you can share it.  We recommend opening the applications you want to share BEFORE the session starts.
