Educational Background Certification and Licensure: Teaching Philosophy My philosophy in the learning environment is supported from 14 years of clinical nursing spent in emergency room nursing, quality, advanced care, and ICU. The last 3 years of my clinical experience in advanced care and ICU were spent at the supervisory level that entailed leadership, quality, and supportive care to staff. New to academia I plan to incorporate the skills obtained at the bedside with the ability to empower and accelerate the learner via engaging lectures enriched with materials to support the hands on portion of what will be a very rewarding and giving career. Our goals as we work through each semester will be to develop our minds allowing our hands and hearts the power to support others in their time of need through nursing. I focus on safety, understanding the why behind nursing care, and critically thinking to expand holistically on each human being we care for. |
