Danville Area Community College officials plan to organize an active Alumni Association for the College. To kick-off the effort, DACC is hosting a gathering of Alumni at Noon on September 22, 2017, in Mary Miller Center room 300. The meeting agenda includes election of officers and approval of proposed by-laws. A light lunch will be served. The meeting is scheduled to follow the DACC Foundation’s annual Honors program.
According to the proposed by-laws, “Membership in the Association is open to all former students of DACC and DJC who have ever taken a class or workshop at the College, or any friend of the College. In order to be considered for an officer or board position, the member in good standing must hold a degree, diploma, or certificate, or have completed at least 30 credit hours at the College. Membership dues shall be twenty-five dollars ($25) for a three-year membership. A member may choose to pay a Lifetime Membership that shall be one hundred and twenty-five dollars ($125).”
