Danville Area Community College’s Corporate Education department offers many open enrollment classes and also specialized training for business and industry.

Below is the schedule for upcoming trainings being offered:

Upcoming Training for Business & Industry

 

FORKLIFT OPERATOR TRAINING (New Driver or Recert)

This class provides training to keep your employees and workplace in compliance with OSHA's forklift safety standard.

March 28, 2019 and June 20, 2019 (2 class offerings)
8:30am-3:00pm
Bremer Conference Center. $150/person.


EMERGENCY MEDICAL RESPONDER COURSE

Emergency Medical Responders are individuals who have been trained to handle medical emergencies that can occur at your workplace. 60 Hour Course.

April - May 20, 2019
Meets Mondays and Thursdays from 1:00-5:00 pm
Bremer Conference Center. $300/person.

DACC Corporate Education in partnership with IMEC is excited to bring you the 2019 Lean Certificate Series!

Lean 101: A Lean Manufacturing Overview with Simulation - April 23, 2019

$1,795 per company seat. 50% grant funding applied = only $897.50 per person!

While it is recommended that the same individual attend all sessions, participants from one company can vary based on session topic. Classes 8:00 am-4:00 pm each day in Vermilion Hall.


POWERED INDUSTRIAL TRUCK TRAIN-THE-TRAINER COURSE

Our adult training classroom instruction, driver's observations, and testing process will enhance your operators to become better trainers.

OSHA 10 HOUR GENERAL INDUSTRY

The 10-hour OSHA Outreach courses provide basic awareness training on the recognition, avoidance, abatement, and prevention of workplace hazards.

8:00am-4:30pm on May 2 and 8:00-noon on May 9

OSHA 30 HOUR GENERAL INDUSTRY

The 30-hour training program is intended to provide workers with a greater depth and variety of training emphasizing hazard identification, avoidance, control and prevention.

NFPA70E ARC FLASH ELECTRICAL SAFETY TRAINING

OSHA and NFPA require this training for all employees who have the potential for exposure to live conductors of 50V or greater as part of their anticipated work.

2019 SUMMER/FALL LEADERSHIP BOOTCAMP (Condensed Certificate Series)

One of our most popular training series is now being offered in a more convenient, condensed format. Your supervisors and managers will now have all the key leadership concepts needed to hit the ground running in 4 months instead of 10! Conducted by Steve Welland, this series will be offered in both Spring and Fall.

8 HOUR HAZWOPER ANNUAL REFRESHER COURSE

Workers who come into contact with hazardous waste materials or work at hazardous waste sites should receive OSHA HAZWOPER training. According to OSHA 29 CFR 1910.120, employees must also receive 8-hours of refresher training.

NEW!! ON-SITE WORK READINESS SKILL APPLICATION

offered in partnership with IMEC: Provide small to mid-size company leaders and teams with work-ready skill application in process competencies as necessary to adopt HR Best Practices, Lean Manufacturing principles or Lean Daily Management System through professional on-site activities. Scheduling TBD by company. Includes 16 hours of on-site work-ready skill application (Max 12 people per company).
