DACC’s Pi Omega Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society inducted new members on Thursday, March 3, during its Spring Induction Ceremony. State Senator Scott Bennett was the keynote speaker. The complete list of inductees is attached.

Also recognized at the ceremony was Rachel Cyphers, recipient of the PTK Officer's Membership Scholarship, and  Levi Heaton and Hoang Nguyen, members of the All Academic Team from DACC.

The Danville Area Community College Foundation was blessed to receive a check for  $5,000 from the Danville Meijer store #269 in support of the DACC Food Pantry. The money will be used to purchase an institutional refrigerator so the Food Pantry can keep perishables on hand for students who utilize its services. Any funds remaining from the purchase will go the general scholarship fund.

Sixteen (16) National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Men’s Basketball teams from across the country will have earned the title of regional champions and will represent their regions in the upcoming NJCAA Division II Men’s National Basketball Championship. The upcoming NJCAA Championship Tournament will be held at Danville Area Community College March 15-19, 2022. This year marks the 29th year that Danville has hosted the tournament and the 38th year of the tournament.

Danville Area Community College will be hosting the Annual State University Transfer Day on Wednesday, March 9 from 10AM-1PM in Lincoln Hall hallway of the Student Union.

DACC students and members of the community should take advantage of this opportunity to meet with representatives from universities throughout Illinois:

Enrollment for March 2022 ABE/GED/High School Equivalency test prep course and ESL class is now open at Danville Area Community College. These Adult Education classes are FREE!

• ABE/GED/HISET classes will be held Mar. 14-May 12 on Mon.-Thurs. from 9AM-Noon.

• English As A Second Language (ESL) classes will be held Mar. 14-May 12 on Mon.-Thurs. from 8AM-11AM.

Registration and Placement Testing for all classes will be on the DACC Campus, Mon.-Fri., from 8AM-2PM.

Danville Area Community College Adult Education is offering a Certified Nursing Assistant Skills Refresher Course for those whose license has lapsed. The course will be held Wednesday, March 16 & Thursday, March 17 from 10AM-1:45PM (both days).

Must be eligible per the IDPH Nurse Aide Registry. Complete the online recertification form at: nurseaidetesting.com/recertification-online-form/ (2 part process). Cost is $150 (in-district cost) payable to the DACC cashier prior to the start of class. Application must first be completed. Limited enrollment for each session.
