DACC’s Community Education Fall 2019 Classes

Danville Area Community College’s Community Education department offers many classes and trips for Fall 2019 including art & hobbies, business, career programs, college preparation, computer classes, cooking,  couponing, custodial technician training, dancing, dog obedience, driving, fitness, floral design, food service, gardening/lawn, grant writing, internet, middle and high school students, photography, Boomers & Seniors, Lunch & Learn series, day trips and tours and an international trip.

DACC Board Ratifies Contract With Faculty Association

2-Year Agreement Reached

The Danville Area Community College Board of Trustees and the Danville Area Community College Education Association (DACCEA), representing faculty at DACC, ratified a new two-year agreement that will provide a 3% base salary increase in year one and a 2% base salary increase in year two. The new contract is effective July 1, 2019 through June 30, 2021.

DACC Fall Classes to be held at Georgetown-Ridge Farm High School

Danville Area Community College will be offering classes at Georgetown-Ridge Farm High School beginning August 19, 2019.

DACC Foundation Receives Gift to Fund Mobile App

Dr. Robert Ewbank and his wife Sue are no strangers to the Danville Area Community College Foundation. They have been donors for more than 25 years, establishing their own scholarship 15 years ago. Student support is vital to the couple.

Recently, their support of DACC students took a new turn when they heard about the mobile app that the College plans to purchase to help students navigate online resources.  The Ewbanks donated $20,000 to cover the first year and related expenses to put the mobile app in place, recognizing its value to student success and completion.
