Deadlines to apply for Danville Area Community College Summer & Fall 2020
Health Career Programs:

• Rad Tech program deadline Friday, March 20 (program starts Summer 2020)
• Sono and Echo programs deadline to apply is Friday, May 15 (program starts Fall 2020)
• Nursing program deadline to apply is Friday, May 22 by Noon (program starts Fall 2020)
• Health Information Technology deadline to apply for the program is Friday, May 29 by Noon (program starts Fall 2020)

DACC Fall 2019 President's & Honor's List

Danville Area Community College has released a list of its honor students for the Fall 2019 Semester.
A student must carry 12 or more credit hours and a straight A (4.0) average on a 4.0 scale to be included on the President’s List. To be included on the Honor’s List, a student must carry 12 or more credit hours and have a B+ (3.5) grade point average on a 4.0 scale.

DACC Team Wins Grant Award for “Life Skills”

Employers are constantly lamenting the fact that “too many of the workers we have lack the common-sense skills they need to keep a job.”

Danville Area Community College just found a way to fund a program to teach common sense to job seekers and incumbent workers. The Illinois Community College Board awarded $225,000 for the “Bridge and Innovation” grant to DACC to fund the College’s Innovative Transitions Program.

DACC’s Got Talent Show

Danville Area Community College is holding a DACC’s Got Talent contest. Acts were selected from auditions of current DACC students, alumni, faculty, and staff.

The acts selected from the auditions will perform at the DACC’s Got Talent Show on Friday, Nov. 22 at 7:30PM in the Bremer Theater. Cash prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.

The DACC’s Got Talent Show is FREE and OPEN TO THE PUBLIC to attend.

Reasonable Suspicion with Concern About Legalized Marijuana/Cannabis in Illinois

Danville Area Community College’s Corporate Education department is offering a lunch and learn workshop on “Reasonable Suspicion with Concern about Legalized Marijuana/Cannabis in Illinois” as of January 1, 2020. The lunch and learn workshop will be held Tuesday, December 3, 2019 from 11AM-1:30PM at DACC in the Bremer Theater. Cost is $49 per person which includes lasagna from Jocko’s.

DACC Hosts Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at Former Army Reserve Center

Danville Area Community College will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the transfer of ownership of the former U.S. Army Reserve Center from the federal government to the College at 11 am, Monday, November 25, 2019. A facility tour will follow. Parking is available in the College’s north Main Street parking lot, west of the Tractor Trailer training area.

Eat Wings Raise Funds! Danville Area Community College’s Women's Basketball Buffalo Wild Wings Night Fundraiser; Mon., Nov. 18, 2019; 5-8PM.

The DACC Women’s Basketball team is partnering with the Danville Buffalo Wild Wings on Mon., Nov. 18, from 5-8PM to help raise funds for their basketball program. Buffalo Wild Wings will donate 10% of all food sales (dine in or carry out) sold during this time for the women’s basketball program.

Family Reading Night at DACC

Danville Area Community College’s Literacy Program is holding a Family Reading Night on Thursday, November 21, 2019 from 6-8 p.m. in the DACC Student Union, Lincoln Hall. Special guest readers have been invited to read to the children. Confirmed "celebrities" are Danville Police Department Chief Yates and Cindy Peck dressed as Dorothy from, "The Wizard of Oz."

DACC Basketball Game to Support Breast Cancer

The Danville Area Community College basketball programs will be holding a Pink Breast Cancer Game on Saturday, November 2, 2019. Proceeds will be donated to The American Cancer Society Making Strides against Breast Cancer.

The DACC women’s game is at 1 p.m. vs Kaskaskia College and the men’s game is at 3 p.m. vs Lakeland Community College. Both games will be played in the DACC Mary Miller Gymnasium.
