In the world of agriculture, cannabis and catnip are like kissing cousins. That’s the underlying theory behind DACC’s home-grown class called Cultivation and Compliance. Sustainability Instructor George Hickman has developed a course, SUST 121, that teaches students how to grow marijuana—but without actually bringing any cannabis on campus.

As Mr. Hickman says, “The course introduces key concepts and protocols associated with medicinal plant growth and distribution in Illinois.”
