Prathipati Charitable Trust Makes Gift to DACC and VA

Officials from Danville Area Community College, the DACC Foundation, and VA Illiana Healthcare gathered to celebrate the announcement of a $100,000 gift from the Prathipati Rangamma & Subbaiah Charitable Trust. The gift will be split evenly between DACC and VA Illinana Healthcare. Several members of the Prathipati family were on hand to celebrate the gift with the community.

• DACC Softball Jr Jaguar Camp; Tues., July 17 @ 9AM-3PM; $30. Calling all 5th-8th graders!! Come out and learn the skills you need to be successful from the DACC Lady Jaguars (past and present players). Do the drills the Jaguars do, play on the field they play on!

Franklin University Offers MBA at DACC

In The Godfather films, they’d say that Franklin University made Danville Area Community College “an offer we can’t refuse.”

Over the past six months, Franklin University has been working with DACC’s Articulation Director Stephane Potts and Accounting Professor Brian Fink to develop a customized program for DACC’s business and accounting students.

College For Kids Summer Enrichment Program

College Isn't Just for Grownups!! Makes plans to send your children to Danville Area Community College this summer. DACC is celebrating 38 years of providing fun, exciting, and engaging enrichment classes to area youth. Classes are geared for kids entering 3rd-8th grades. Over 35 classes available.

Classes are held July 9-13, 2018. All classes are held Monday-Friday. Cost is $50 per class or stay the week for $150 with hot lunch included. Classes are held 8:30-10:20 a.m., 10:30 a.m.-12:20 p.m. and 1:10-3:00 p.m.

College For Kids at the DACC Higher Learning Center - Hoopeston

College Isn't Just for Grownups!! Makes plans to send your children to Danville Area Community College this summer. This is the 5th year that College For Kids classes will be held at the DACC Higher Learning Center – Hoopeston, 847 E. Orange St., Hoopeston, IL. Classes are geared for kids entering 3rd-8th grades.

4th Annual DACC Child Development Center Color Fun Run

Join us for the 4th annual Danville Area Community College Child Development Center (CDC) color run which will be held on Saturday, June 16, 2018. The race will begin at 9:30 a.m. at the Child Development Center (CDC). There will be an obstacle course and face painting for when the runners/walkers have completed the course.

Every child that completes the run/walk will receive a ribbon of completion.

All proceeds from the color run/walk will be used towards new books, games, activities, furniture and materials for all 4 of the CDC classrooms.

DACC Annual Golf Outing

Danville Area Community College has scheduled its Annual Golf Outing for Friday, July 13, 2018, at the Turtle Run Golf Club.
 
Registration is from 11:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m. with a shotgun start at 1:00 p.m.  A buffet and awards program will be held upon completion of golfing.
 
The 4-person golf scramble includes numerous prizes and a lunch buffet.
 

Area High School Seniors Earn Associate Degrees at DACC

The first time it happened, everyone was amazed.  A local student graduated simultaneously from both a high school and Danville Area Community College.

 

This year’s May Commencement will bring another first. A record-setting five local students will earn both a high school diploma and a DACC Associate degree.
