DACC Offering GED Class at American Job Center

Danville Area Community College Adult Education is offering FREE ABE/GED class at the American Job Center, 407 N. Franklin, Danville. Class begins January 29, 2018 on Mondays, Tuesdays & Wednesdays from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Registration will take place the first day of class.

There is no cost to the student and books will be provided. Must be 18 or older. Other options can be found online at DACC’s website uner GED Adult Education.

American Job Center Grand Opening Planned - Coincides with Business After Hours Event

Danville Area Community College became the One-Stop operator for Vermilion County’s American Job Center (AJC) in July 2017. As such, the College manages partner agencies that provide “wrap-around” services for the public ranging from basic-skills instruction and occupational training to job preparation and placement.

DACC to Host Academic Competition - Area Scholars Compete

Danville Area Community College will host the 40th annual Regional Academic Challenge competition, Tuesday, January 30, 2018.  Ten area school districts are expected to send representatives to this year’s competition.  The event is hosted by the DACC Science, Math, and Health Professions Division and will be held in the Mary Miller Center.

DACC Hosts Eagle Day - Public Encouraged to Attend

Danville Area Community College is going to the birds. DACC will host a program presented by the Office of Wildlife Learning World Bird Sanctuary of St. Louis. This biennial event will be held in the Mary Miller Gymnasium on the campus of Danville Area Community College on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at 9AM and again at 12:30PM. The event is co-sponsored by the Middlefork Audubon Society.

Danville Area Community College Adult Education is offering GED/HSE class at the DACC campus beginning January 16, 2018 on Mondays-Thursdays from 9 a.m.-Noon.

Call for Small Business Award Nominations

The Illinois Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at Danville Area Community College is seeking nominations from the business community, the lending community and the public to recognize the critical contributions of the Vermilion County Area’s entrepreneurs.  To recognize accomplishments at all stages of business growth, awards will be given in four categories.

Small Business of the Year - A small business (in business 2 years or more) that has successfully passed the initial start-up phase and has accomplished expansion goals.

DACC Foundation Scholarship Application Online Now

New System Completely Online

DANVILLE -- The new DACC Foundation Scholarship application for the 2018-2019 academic year is now available! The DACC Foundation has converted to a completely online system.

Current students will use their DACC username and password to login. Prospective/Entering students will need to complete the DACC application for admission and receive a username and password before they can complete the online application.

DACC Holding GED Class at Westville Jr. High

Danville Area Community College Adult Education is offering GED/HSE class at Westville Jr. High beginning January 17, 2018 on Mondays & Wednesdays from 6:00-8:30 p.m.

DACC Offers CNA Classes at Pleasant Meadows Nursing Home

The Danville Area Community College Adult Education program will hold a CNA class at Pleasant Meadows Nursing Home in Chrisman. The class will be on Mondays & Wednesdays, January 17-May 23, 2018 from 9 a.m.-1 p.m.
