The Youth Council is
mandated as of August 7, 1998 by the federal law. The Youth Council
identifies the needs of the community and prepares for the needs of the
youth under Title –1 youth funds that are for low and average income youth
that are either in school or out of school. The Council helps provide
eligible youth seeking assistance in achieving academic and employment
success. The council ensures ongoing opportunities related to leadership
development, decision-making citizenships, community service, training and
supportive services. The Council recommends the funding for the year-round
youth programs.
The Youth Council meets the first Tuesday of
every month at 1:00 PM
