How to Sign-up for an Online Student Orientation (OSO)
If you are a returning, transfer, recent high school graduate, or former College Express or Dual Enrollment student, you have the option to complete an Online Student Orientation.
You will need to have your DACC network ID to log-in to the online NSO.
To obtain your network ID, click on the following link https://students.dacc.edu/id/. If you have already gotten your password at some point, you will need to contact Computer and Network Services at (217) 443-8871 or (217) 443-8861 to have it reset.
You will have to wait 24 hours after you have submitted your Student Information Form to access your network ID and password.
Once you have your network ID, you can log-in to the Online Student Orientation at the following link: Launch Online Orientation
If you are having problems retrieving your network ID or cannot log-in to the Online Student Orientation portal, please contact Cindy Peck at (217)-554-1680 for assistance.
Note: Students must answer at least 15/20 of the Final Test questions correctly in the Online Student Orientation to pass the orientation
process. If you do not receive a 15/20, you must meet with the Coordinator of Retention and Student Engagement , Cindy
Peck before you will be able to register for classes.
Online Orientations
If a student has never taken a course online before, he or she must attend a one-time, one-hour Online Orientation. This orientation will familiarize students with how to log on to Blackboard - the portal used for most online classes here at DACC - how to post assignments and discussions, and how to take quizzes and tests online. Make sure to sign up for one of these orientations with your academic advisor if you are taking an online course for the first time.
