Child Development Center

The Child Development Center is located on the west side of the DACC campus. The Center is a licensed day care facility with a pre-school program during the morning and has a capacity for 66 children. The professional staff has degrees in Early Childhood Education.

The center's activities support the idea that children learn through doing. Learning is geared to the child's development and ability. Since 2007 the center staff has focused on Developing Language and Literacy in Danville. We have designed out program to incorporate concepts of how young children learn as individuals and as a group member.

The Child Development Center accepts any child between the ages of 15 months to 5 years old during the year and 6 years old to 12 years old during the summer months. The center is open to children of college students as well as any child in the community.

The Child Development Center hours are 6:45AM to 5:30PM, 51 weeks per year. The center is closed on all major holidays and the week between Christmas and New Year's Day. For more information, call 217-443-8833
