This optional service may be used in the event of a potential, developing, or existing on-campus emergency, or advisories about closings and/or class cancellations, possibly due to inclement weather. There is no charge for signing up; however, standard text messaging rates from your cell phone service provider will apply. Emergency Text Messaging is just one of the methods Danville Area Community College will use to communicate emergency information to students, faculty, and staff. We will continue to use a variety of other methods as appropriate, including email, posting on the DACC website, and local radio and television stations. To sign up to receive emergency text messages on your cell phone, go to the DACC web site and provide your DACC student ID and password. You will then be asked for your cell phone number, and for your permission to add that number to the system. |
