The Danville Area Community College TRiO Program is a federally funded service which enables qualified students to receive on-campus support and guidance during their first years of college. Their goal is to help these students achieve academic success.
TRiO participants receive the following services:
- Academic Advisement
- Counseling for Academic Success
- Development of Education Plan
- University Transfer Visits
- Strategies for Financing College
- Course Selection and Registration
- Tutoring
- Walk-in availability Monday-Friday
- By self-made appointment with a Professional Mentor
- Online tutoring
- Assistance with Scholarship Search and Applications
- Assistance with Four-Year College/University Applications and Transfer Process
- Computer Labs

How To Apply:
The TRiO selection process has two parts:
- Eligibility
To determine if you are eligible to be selected in the program, you must meet
one or more of the following criteria:
- Must be a first-generation college student (neither parent received a degree)
- Be low income
- Have a documented disability
- All TRiO applicants must be a U.S. Citizen
- Application
Interested applicants who meet the qualifications can pick up an application in the Student Success Center, Cannon Hall Room 113. Or print the application, which can be downloaded
here, fill out all required information, and return to the front desk of CH 113.
*Note to applicants: Please fill out ALL information before returning your completed application to our departments. This will expedite the processing of your application.
