2005 International Convention
April 11-15, 2004, Grapevine, TX

As Illinois Regional  Secretary Chapter Delegate, our VP Nathan Gray presided over the Illinois Regional meeting.
Our gals, Hope Albin, Diana Guerrero, Janneth Herrera, and Ruth Molokwu sport our tshirts from the 2004 Illinois Regional convention we hosted at DACC.

International Awards

2004 Distinguished Chapter. This is awarded to the top 30 chapters for the highest scores overall on all four hallmark award essays.  This is the third time in four  years that Pi Omega received this award.

2004 Fellowship Hallmark Award.  This is the first time we have received one of the four main hallmark awards.  Over 500 chapters competed, and we were in the top 10, placing us in the top 2% overall for this hallmark. This was also the last year this award is being presented.

Top 25 Chapter in the Hallmark of Service.

Top 25 Chapter in the Hallmark of Fellowship.

Top 100 Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa.

2004 Pinnacle Continued Excellence Chapter Award.  This was the second year this was presented and we received it both times.  It reflects an increase of inductions by at least 10% over the previous year for three years in a row. 

2004 Advisor Paragon Award 
Presented to Chapter Advisor Lori Garrett for three consecutive years.

Guest speaker, singer Patty LaBelle, discusses her many family losses to cancer and the importance of living life to its fullest and helping the American Cancer Society. Guest speaker and former New York Mayor, Rudy Guiliani, discusses leadership in the face of 9/11, and becoming an effective leader in your own life. Pi Omegans in Texas!  Janneth Herrera, Matt Frost, Diana Guerrero, Hope Albin, Ruth Molokwu, and Nathan Gray in the Gaylord Texan Resort Complex.

2005 Illinois Regional Leadership Conference
June 3-5, 2005, Quincy, Illinois

Regional Awards
(Awarded at the Regional Leadership Conference, 
June 3-5, John Wood Community College, Quincy, IL.

Illinois Region's 2004-2005 Most Distinguished Chapter.   We were selected as the state's top chapter overall.  This is our first.  It means we had the highest total score overall for the four hallmark award competitions.

Five-Star Chapter. Pi Omega received this for fulfilling all requirements of 
the Five-Star Chapter Development Program, attaining full Five-Star status for the fourth
year in a row.

Mary Anne Player Appreciation Award. We received this ffor hosting the 2004 Illinois Regional Convention.

2004-2005 Outstanding Officer Award.  Chapter Vice President Matt Frost received this for his dedication and participation during the previous year.

Pinnacle Gold Chapter Certificate. This was in recognition of our increasing our inductions by at least 10% over the previous year. 

2004-2005 Illinois Region's Most Distinguished Chapter Advisor.
Received by Chapter Advisor Lori Garrett, two years in a row.

2004 All-Illinois Advisor Team. Advisor Lori Garrett was named to this team at the ICCB/Phi Theta Kappa Awards Banquet in Springfield, April 26th, her second year.
