Danville Area Community College’s Department of Corporate Education is offering Pharmacy Technician class for Spring 2012.

 

The Pharmacy Technician class provides both technical and practical training which will enable the technician to function as a competent entry-level assistant to a licensed pharmacist. The program includes: the role of a pharmacy technician; pharmacy law, standards and ethics; drugs, dosages, and delivery systems; pharmaceutical measurements and calculations; and dispensing, billing, and inventory management. Pharmacy Technicians work in hospitals, nursing homes, health care agencies, and retail outlets such as drug-stores.

 

The Pharmacy Technican class will be held on Thursdays, February 9-May 10 from 6:00-8:30 p.m. The course fee is $214 which does not include the book. Payment is due upon registration. Class size is limited.
