ILCSO — The Joys of a Joint Catalog

Requesting Items from Other Libraries

As a DACC student or staff member, you can use your DACC library account to request items from any of the other 65 member libraries in the ILCSO system, and you can do it yourself!

When you first use the library's catalog, you will be searching DACC's own collection. But, if you don't find what you're looking for, you can always expand your search into the combined catalog of all 65 ILCSO libraries, The joint catalog looks and operates just like the college's own catalog. You can still search by title, author, or subject. You can also use the powerful but slippery Any Word Anywhere search.

After you locate an item you'd like to request be sent to DACC from another member library, simply click on the link that says Request at the top of the screen.

*Important* You need to log into your account on Illinet Online to renew materials borrowed from other libraries. The DACC Library staff cannot renew these items for you.

And REMEMBER, if you have trouble with this, or any other stage in the research process, you can ask for Help! Ask your teacher! Ask Librarians! If you need to, just hit the PANIC button!
