Placing a Request in Illinet Online

The first step in placing a request is logging in:

Illinet Log-in Screen: Select the college, type your bar code and enter your last name

You will then be prompted to Request the first available copy. You will need to provide 3 pieces of information:

Your home library (selecting from a drop-down list)
Your library bar code
Your last name

Click on Login.

Click on OK to See Possible Search Results

You only have one option; click OK. Click on the "OK" link in the image to see the possible results.

When items requested through Illinet arrive at the DACC library:

We will call you to let you know it's available.
The item is not charged out to you until you come in and check it out.
If you find you no longer need a book, please let us know — we will be happy to send it back so others can use it.

Placing a request requires you to log in to your account. But there are other reasons for logging into your account as well. Let's learn about Illinet Accounts.
