You will log into your account to request items from other libraries, renew materials you have checked out, or check on the status of your requests and cancel requests.
You can view your Illinet Online Account from any internet accessible computer. Simply open the catalog and click on My Account link in the navigation bar at the top (circled in the image). You can access it from either the DACC catalog or the group catalog, Illinet Online.

You will log in just as you would if you were placing a request. You will need to provide 3 pieces of information:
Click on Login.

The Account Page lets you review:
You MUST renew items checked out from Illinet system libraries other than DACC using your Account Page. The staff at the DACC library cannot renew these items for you.
Renewing the materials you have checked out from one or more of the Illinet libraries is easy. After you have logged in, simply look through your list of Items Checked Out. Check the boxes by those you wish to renew.

Click on the Renew Selected Items button.
The system will let you know whether the item was successfully renewed or not:

Following the list of Items Checked Out is Request Information. This section allows users to see where any particular request is in the process.

Users can tell if a request is:
From their Request Information, users can cancel a request for an item they no longer want if it is "Outstanding". All they need to do is:
If you cannot cancel a request for any reason, simply wait until we tell you the item has arrived and let us know that you no longer need the material and we will be happy to send it back so others can use it.
And REMEMBER, if you have trouble with this, or any other stage in the research process, you can ask for Help! Ask your teacher! Ask Librarians! If you need to, just hit the PANIC button! |
