• Adobe Acrobat Reader provides the ability to view Acrobat (PDF) documents.
• AVG Free Edition is an antivirus package from GriSoft that is free for non-commercial users.
• 7-Zip is an excellent freeware zip compression utility.
• MochaSoft TN3270 for Windows is a 3270 terminal emulator that provides access to the educational R/390. A license key is needed to remove the restriction from this free 30-day evaluation version, and can be obtained from your instructor. This package is licensed for use by students on non-DACC computers.
• MochaSoft TN5250 for Windows is a 5250 emulator similar to TN3270, except that it provides access to the educational AS/400.
• Mozilla is a free, award-winning, fully-featured web browser that includes a powerful mail client and web page editor.
• SSH Secure Shell is a shell client for communicating securely with remote servers (including the students.dacc.edu server). Includes a secure file transfer client. Free for non-commercial use.
