Minutes (09/01/05)
We had our first meeting yesterday. The minutes follow:
Introductions were made.
Programming ideas considered.
-
Cookout for active members only at Dr. Hantz's house
in mid-September. -
Impressions of DACC program. Program date TBD.
Discussion of general
issues keeping the International Center open, upgrade computer
(e-mailed Jeff), update Bulleting Board and IC webpage.
Rousseau will be the ISC
representative to the International Education Advisory Team meeting
that are held monthly.
Selection of club
officers (Mitsuru and Natalia are co-presidents, Yani is VP, still
need someone to take notes (Secretary).

Announcements
-
ISC booked for the radio on 10/5 at 5:30. We
should be there by 5:15. Travel arrangements can be made. -
New student, Roland Iheke, arriving next Wednesday,
from Benin -
Donations came to $35.17 and three boxes of
children's supplies. Congratulations to all for a great job
and a successful event! The feedback was overwhelmingly
positive.
Next event
-
Oct. 13, from 11-12. Yani's package arrived
today and so we can go ahead with a silent auction. Many
people wanted to try Turkish coffee. Will do both in that day.
Can any of our Turkish students participate?
Trip planned for Chicago
on Oct. 11, leave DACC around 8 or so. Museums were of
interest.
