The Director of the SBDC & Entrepreneurship directs all aspects
and oversees the successful operation of the Small Business Development
Center.
Required qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Entrepreneurship or related field; complete and thorough understanding of bank financing; demonstrated organizational ability and skill in establishing and maintaining active networks of volunteers and resource people; ability to organize and supervise a detailed reporting and record-keeping system in a grant-funded environment; excellent oral and written communication skills and human relations skills; high level of enthusiasm and optimism; strong management background in private business with knowledge of Finance, Accounting, Sales and Marketing, Payroll, and Operations.
Desired qualifications: Master's Degree in Business-related field; familiarity with the Danville Area Small Business environment and significant resource network in business planning, finance, personnel, accounting, legal, etc.; significant leadership, organizational and coordination work experience; experience in grant writing and reporting; experience in working with the Department of Commerce and Community Affairs.
Position is full time: 52 weeks/year, 40 hours/week. Closing date: Position will remain open until filled.
