Fitness Center - Fitness Center Information
- Only individuals enrolled in the Fitness Center will be allowed to work out. No children are allowed in the Fitness Center.
- Students must wear workout clothing and athletic shoes. No street clothes are allowed.
- Sweatshirts or t-shirts must be full-length, have sleeves and cannot have rips or holes. No sleeveless shirts, tank tops or mid-length shirts are allowed.
- Sweatpants or athletic shorts are allowed. No jeans, jean shorts, cargo pants or cargo shorts are allowed.
- Athletic shoes must have backs, and laces must be tied.
- Locker rooms are located at each end of the hall. Please bring your own padlock or combination lock to secure valuables in a locker of your choice.
YOU MUST HAVE A LOCKER FOR BELONGINGS! There is no place in the Fitness Center to store bookbags, duffle bags, purses, extra clothing, shoes or athletic equipment.
- We suggest that you bring a towel to help us keep equipment clean and as a courtesy to others.
- For safety reasons and to show respect to others:
- Cell phones must be silenced, and you may not make or receive phone calls inside the Fitness Center.
- You may read or use electronics (with headphones) on all equipment except the weight circuit when doing the circuit for credit.
- You may not use keyboards (virtual or physical) on your electronics while on the treadmills.
- No food or drinks are allowed in the Fitness Center other than capped bottles of clear water, and we encourage you to bring a bottle of water.
- Everyone needs to fill out a Daily Activity Form at the desk and place it on the north (side) counter before beginning to work out.
- ATTENDANCE: YOU MUST COME IN AND WORK OUT EACH WEEK UNTIL YOU COMPLETE 36 WORKOUTS. This is a one-credit-hour class, so you are expected to spend one hour per week doing your required workouts.
- The Fitness Center is considered a classroom, therefore the following behaviors are unacceptable:
- loud talking or the use of profanity
- door slamming
- disrespect shown to staff or other students
- purposely cutting workout times short or recording workout times falsely
