LINC (Letter of Low Income)

You reported little or no income on your Student Aid Report. You will need to document how you met basic living expenses for yourself (and family, if applicable). You will need to write a statement as to where and how you lived last year and provide appropriate documentation to support your statement. When completed submit it to the Financial Aid Office at DACC..
(Be sure to follow the directions and provide appropriate documentation to expedite the completion of your financial aid file.)

*  If you lived with family or friends we will need a notarized letter from them declaring they supported you and indicating a  dollar amount for the support they provided. We have a Notary Public in our office and this service is free.

*  If you received support from any type of agency to assist you with day to day costs such as housing or food, please provide documentation of the support you received. (Link card, Section 8 Housing, CCRS, etc.)

*  If you were hospitalized, incarcerated or volunteering your services in exchange for living arrangements we will need documentation from the appropriate authority to verify these types of situations.

* Additionally, if you did not file a tax return we need a Letter 1722 from the IRS, call 1-800-829-1040 to request this.
