Danville Area Community College’s Liberal Arts Division theater group, The DACC Players, will present the musical Funny Girl on Friday & Saturday, April 7 and 8 at 7:00 P.M. and Sunday, April 9 at 2:00 P.M. in the Bremer Theater on the DACC Campus.

The semi-biographical plot is based on the life and career of Broadway star, film actress and comedian Fanny Brice featuring her stormy relationship with entrepreneur and gambler Nicky Arnstein. The musical is set in and around New York City just prior to and following World War I. Ziegfeld Follies star Fanny Brice, awaiting the return of her husband, Nicky Arnstein, from prison, reflects on their life together, and their story is told as a flashback.
Directors for the production are Phillip Langley and Glenda Boling. Musical directors are Teresa Ross and David Schroeder. Choreography is designed by Nicole Miller. The cast includes, Flyn Williams as Fanny and Bryan Jenkins as Nicky. The other cast members are Manny McCool, Aiden Tibben, Gaige Davis, Zach Clay, Kelli Carlton, Haley Youhas, Sarthak Jain, Laramie Ziegler, Alyssa Goss, Toby Peck, John McCool, Jacob Ault, Maggie Williams, Alexis Nichols, Rita Donizoda, Hailee Eltzeroth, Karar Howard, Sarah Strader, Allison Woodard, Kayla Taylor, and Jillian Miller.
