Assessment Center Guidelines - Students
- All students should schedule an appointment to take an exam. Students should call the
Assessment Center at 443-8708 at least two days in advance of the time you wish to take the exam. Because we schedule a variety of other assessments with other schools , it is in the best interest of the student to call as soon as possible. Available space and times fill up quickly, especially during mid-terms and finals week. If there are any
unexpected situations, please give the instructor a call or e-mail and we will try to accommodate you. When scheduling a late afternoon or evening appointment, please consider the Center’s scheduled hours and allow enough time to finish the test and/or meet the testing time limit before the Center closes for the day.
- Students are required to show a current picture ID at the time they take each exam. We will remind students of this when they call to schedule an appointment.
Student ID number are now required in place of Social Security Numbers. Students are also required to sign in and sign out when they come to take an exam.
- Students will be required to leave books, book bags, coats, etc. in a designated area.
The Assessment Center can not be responsible for items that are lost or stolen. All items will be in view of the student at all times or near them. Once students start testing they are not allowed to go into any bags or purses.
- Due to limited seating and the controlled environment of the testing area, students who are testing are the only people allowed in the Assessment Center or computer lab during an exam. Students are not allowed to bring children, family members or friends with them while they test. Paper will be given for handwritten test. No outside paper will be allowed. Scratch paper will be collected at the end of the test.
- All testing areas and rooms are monitored by camera surveillance and Assessment Center staff constantly.
Students will not be allowed to have cell phones or any other electronic devices in the Assessment Center.
Students who violate standards of academic integrity will have their test and any books, notes or other material immediately confiscated and notification of the incident will be made at once to the instructor and in writing to the Director of Student Success/ Student Conduct – Vicky Welge.
