Apply for Admission All applicants who wish to enroll at Danville Area Community College must submit a completed application. Send Transcripts Submit an official copy of final high school transcripts or an official copy of the GED test results from the testing agency. Submit official transcripts from colleges at which college-level credit was awarded. Note: Transcripts are considered official when they are sent directly from the school to DACC or presented in a sealed envelope from the school.
Attend a New Student Orientation All students pursuing a certificate or degree program at DACC, and/or Students who are planning to enroll for full-time status are required to attend a New Student Orientation. This session is designed to provide introduction to DACC, as well as pertinent information regarding academic programs, college policies, and student life. Students can reserve a spot for a New Student Orientation by visiting the Counseling Department in Lincoln Hall or by calling (217) 443-8750.
Take Placement Assessment All students pursuing a certificate or degree program at DACC, and/or students who are planning to enroll in a math, English, speech, social science, humanities, or physical science course are required to take the placement assessment or supply ACT/SAT scores that are less than 2 years old. The assessment will cover English, reading, and mathematics. Students can usually sign up to take the placement assessment the same day as their New Student Orientation. To reserve a spot for the assessment, visit the Assessment Center in Cannon Hall or call (217) 443-8708.
Register for Classes Students may register full-time (12 credit hours or more) by meeting with an academic advisor or counselor. Appointments to see an academic advisor or counselor can be made by visiting the Counseling Department in the Lincoln Hall or by calling (217) 443-8750. Students may register part-time (less than 12 credit hours) if they know which classes they need to take by visiting the Registration Office in the Vermilion Hall or by calling (217) 443-8800.

Billing & Schedules Approximately two weeks before payment is due, students will receive a copy of their bill in the mail. All payments must be received IN FULL by the billing due date, or students will be dropped from their classes. All students receiving financial aid, JTPA assistance, scholarships, etc. must secure payment by the due date as well. Payment can be made at the Cashier's Office in the Vermilion Hall on campus, or by mail.
Student schedules will be mailed approximately two weeks before the first day of the term.
Buying Books Students can purchase textbooks and lab manuals from the DACC Bookstore located in the lower level of the Lincoln Hall. Students must provide the bookstore with a copy of their schedule so it can be determined which textbooks are needed. Authorizations for Financial Aid charges will be available toward the beginning of each semester.
Student I.D. Cards Student I.D. cards are necessary for general student identification, library use, and student discount status for various services around town. I.D. cards can be obtained in Lincoln Hall the first 2-3 days of the Fall and Spring semester, and in the Library thereafter.
Residency Information A resident of Danville Area Community College District No. 507 is one who has an established permanent dwelling within the district. Residents of Community College District No. 507 will be charged the in-district tuition rate as established by the College's Board of Trustees.
