General Admission Requirements

Danville Area Community College has an open-door policy.  The College admits all students qualified to complete any of its programs including general studies, transfer, occupational, and basic education, as long as space is available.  When adequate space is not available, the College will accept those best qualified, giving preference to students residing in Community College District #507.

Many DACC courses require ASSET placement scores to ensure successful completion.  Therefore all new students are required to take the ASSET placement assessment.  Students can sign-up for the ASSET by calling (217) 443-8708.

Admission is open to anyone who fulfills the following requirements:

  1. Has earned a high-school diploma or General Education Development (G.E.D.) Diploma.

  2. AND
  3. Shows successful performance in assessment programs designed to prove the student's ability to benefit and competency.
