Personal Statement to Reader:
I love to read, especially suspense novels. My favorite authors are James Rollins, Robin Cook, Allan Folsom, John Grisham, William Kent Krueger, and James Patterson. Besides reading, I also enjoy traveling to Spain and Latin-America, fishing, and scrapbooking. I collect Don Quijotes, masks and folkart from Latin-America and Spain.

I taught Spanish for thirty-three years at Danville High School and retired in the spring of 2002. Over the span of thirty plus years I have taught English as a Second Language GED/ABE classes and have tutored in the Adult Literacy Program.

Teaching Philosophy:
Teaching is not a job; it's a way of life. I always believe in giving to the students more than what is expected. If a student is having difficulties, I'm always willing to give extra practice and to stay after class to give extra help.
