IMPORTANT--Prior to receiving a final grade, students enrolled
in Developmental English 098, Math 098, or Reading 098, can and should
be registered in an 099 class. Those enrolled in 099 courses may be preregistered
for English, math or reading with the understanding that if they are unsuccessful
in their 098 or 099 course, they will have to make a schedule change. The
following guidelines should be adhered to.
| English 098 | Grade of A, B, or C--Student may take Communication Skills
or Rhetoric based on ASSET/COMPASS score and an approved writing sample.
Placement test and writing sample are given as part of final examination.
Grade of S--Student must take English 099 Grade of U--Student must repeat English 098 |
| English 099 | Grade of S--Student may take Communication Skills or Rhetoric
based on ASSET/COMPASS score and an approved writing sample. Placement
test and writing sample are given as part of final examination.
Grade of U--Student must repeat English 099 |
| Math 098 | Grade of A, B, or C--Student will have completed all of
the course work for 098 and 099 in one semester and advance to DEVM 100
(pre-algebra), MATH 101 (basic algebra), MATT 104 (business math) or MATT
133 (technical math) based on ASSET/COMPASS score. Placement test will
be given as part of final examination.
Grade of S--Student must take Math 099 Grade of U--Student must repeat Math 098. |
| Math 099 | Grade of S--Student may take DEVM 100, (pre-algebra), MATH
101 (basic algebra) MATT 104 (business math) or MATT 133 (technical math)
