For The Student:

	Clarifies what a student needs to do in order to achieve goals.
	Begins building a relationship between student and the postsecondary program while he/she is still in high school.
	Provides for early acceptance process into postsecondary institution.
	Reduces cost for postsecondary education.
	Enhances the depth of quality of career preparation or shortens the time required to receive a degree or certificate for the student.
For Teachers:
	Better communication with postsecondary personnel helps high school teachers advise their students in matters pertaining to both educatio nal opportunuties and career choices.
	Adds credibility to a high school teacher's program through the articulation process (teaching classes that count for college credit).
	Strengthens the networking opportunities with other teachers in the same field.
	Provides additional funding for training, workshops, supplies, equipment, etc.
