Program Description |
Faculty
Overview
This rigorous program offers
a wide variety of educational experiences in professional/technical
coursework, the social and natural sciences, mathematics, the
humanities, and communication. In addition to classroom and laboratory sessions,
students will complete 1300 hours of clinical education coordinated by
the faculty at DACC and directly supervised by licensed technologists
at affiliated medical facilities. This critical component of the
curriculum allows students to perform real world hands-on application
of knowledge. The
program is accredited by the Joint Review Commission on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT)
and its graduates are eligible to take the American Registry of
Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) national certification examination and
obtain state licensure.
Mission Statement
The Radiologic Technology
program at DACC prepares the student for employment upon graduation as
a key member of the health care team that performs a variety of
radiologic procedures by operating complex equipment and providing
skilled patient care.

To provide the community’s health care facilities, including hospitals, professional clinics and private physician’s offices with qualified radiographers.
