Experiences in Education
I've taught at DACC since the fall of 1975, and it's been a good time for community colleges.  The variety of students we have, in particular the age range, is very refreshing.  In my years at DACC I've had many wonderful opportunities, including traveling to China on a Fulbright and studying at University of Chicago on two NEH institutes. It's a pleasure to share with my students, and to learn from them.

For over twenty years I've advised the DACC student literary magazine, Waiting for Rain, which is published yearly.  Interested students should contact me in late fall or early spring semester, if they want to work on the staff or contribute writing or art.

I'm also the DACC representative to the Illinois Consortium for International Studies and programs, ICISP.  We sponsor study abroad in England, Austria, and Costa Rica every year.  For more information the ICISP web site is www.icisp.org. DACC students should see me for more information, including scholarship applications.
