Teaching Associate, Child Development Center

The Teaching Associates plan, perform, and supervise instructional and recreational activities for children in the Child Development Center.

Required qualifications: At least 19 years of age; two years of credits from an accredited college or university with six semester or equivalent quarter hours in courses related directly to child care and/or child development, from birth to age six
-or-
one year or 1560 clock hours of child development experience in a nursery school, Kindergarten, or licensed day care center and thirty semester hours (or 45 quarter hours) of credits from an accredited college or university with six semester or nine quarter hours in courses directly related to child care and/or child development, from birth to age six; skills and personal competence necessary to contribute to the children’s physical, intellectual, personal, emotional, and social development.

Desired qualifications include a BS/BA Degree in Early Childhood Education or related area and child development experience in a nursery school, kindergarten, or licensed day care center.Position is full time: 52 weeks/year, 40 hours/week.Closing date:Position will remain open until filled.
