Administrative Assistant, Vice President for Instruction and Student Services


The Administrative Assistant for the Office for Instruction is responsible for the management of the Office for Instruction including all secretarial services, confidential matters, and coordination of many programs and activities.  Essential to the position is an individual with excellent computer skills.  The Incumbent frequently answers questions or gives direction to the Vice President's staff of Division Deans.

Required qualifications: Associate Degree in Applied Science in Business or comparable experience; minimum typing speed of 50 w.p.m.; proficiency in note taking; ability to record minutes and prepare for future reference; demonstrated work experience on microcomputer equipment; demonstrated competencies in Windows applications; excellent organizational skills; excellent verbal and written communications skills; excellent human relations skills.

Desired qualifications: Demonstrated work experience on IBM or IBM-compatible equipment; completion of course or workshop in Word, Excel, and Access.

Position is full time: 52 weeks/year, 40 hours/week. Closing date: Position will remain open until filled.
