Grants and Planning
Director of Grants and Planning: Patrick Bayard, 217.443.8776
The Danville Area Community College (DACC) Grants and Planning Department is a resource for college departments, faculty and personnel seeking funding opportunities to advance the mission of the college and maximize grant revenue. It is responsible for facilitating the development and submission of grants, including applications to federal, state, and local public agencies as well as private funders. It offers services to those seeking grants including: researching grant opportunities; coordinating the grant development process; grant writing; editorial assistance; and facilitating grant-related community partnerships.
In addition, the Grants and Planning Department develops the process and documents that define the college’s strategic direction; monitors its implementation; and makes recommendations to the DACC President and the Board of Trustees. These activities are codified in the college’s Strategic Plan which outlines DACC’s mission, vision, values and strategic objectives. The Grants and Planning Department also supports the college’s commitment to performance excellence through strategic planning resource development for projects and programs that support the college's strategic plan.
The Grants and Planning Department does not provide grants or scholarships directly to students. That service is provided by the DACC Foundation.
