COURSE DESCRIPTION:
Continuation of supervised instruction in sonography at a clinical education affiliate.
PREREQUISITES:
Successful Completion of SONO101, SONO102, SONO103, SONO104, SONO105, SONO106, SONO107
NOTES:

COURSE OBJECTIVES / GOALS:
Upon successful completion of this course, the learner will be able to:
  • Evaluate the procedure requisition and assess the patients condition
  • Prepare the physical facilities
  • Provided proper patient care, comfort and management
  • Manipulate the equipment and select procedural parameters
  • Accurately acquire the image
  • Properly process the image
  • Evaluate the image for diagnostic quality
  • Maintain standards of patient confidentiality
  • Adapt and modify procedures for the specifics of each patient
  • Adhere to the concepts and practice of teamwork in the clinical setting
  • Bring the procedure to closure following the standard practice of the clinical site
