COURSE DESCRIPTION:
This course will allow the student to demonstrate and advance the skills acquired in Machining I, II and III through the development of an independent project.  Students are further prepared for NIMS testing.

PREREQUISITES:
MFRG162

NOTES:

COURSE OBJECTIVES / GOALS:
  • In order for a student to succeed in today‚Äôs highly technical manufacturing environment, the student will become versed in the fundamental equipment and terminology associated with the machine tool industry.
  • The student will demonstate a thorough understanding of the mathematics and measuring processes used in the machine tool industry.
  • Students will demonstate appropriate work ethics via attendance, clean up and maintenance of equipment.
  • The student will demonstrate the skills acquired in Machining I, II, III through an independent work project.
  • The student will be encouraged to seek NIMS credentials.
