COURSE DESCRIPTION:
This course integrates Microsoft Office 2007 PowerPoint, Live Meeting, and One Note software to enable students to develop core presentation skills utilizing digital technology. Microsoft Live Meeting is an effective meeting solution that enables business professionals to collaborate with other individuals or groups--without leaving their desk. Microsoft Office OneNote makes it easy to gather, organize, find and share your notes and information more efficiently and effectively. Powerful search capabilities help you to locate information from text within pictures or spoken words in audio and video recordings. These tools help teams work together with all of this information in shared notebooks, whether online or offline.

COURSE OBJECTIVES / GOALS:
  • Demonstrate skills and competencies using Microsoft Office 2007 PowerPoint, Live meeting, and OneNote to develop effective presentations with high-resolution support for all types of animations and slide transitions. Understand tools to engage audience and deliver creative digital presentations.
  • Share printable documents for online review or editing utilizing Live Meeting high-resolution viewer, and deomnstrate how audience can zoom in or zoom out without losing the quality of text and graphics.
  • Develop skills and abilities sharing control of software on the desktop without losing sight of participant feedback or text questions and customize the color depth and screen resolution to better interact with participants who have varying degrees of desktop capabilities.
  • Learn features including Question Manager that encourages audience participation through collaboration and understand other interactive tools including : Real-Time Polls, Mood Indicator, Chat, Annotations, Whiteboard, Text Slide, and Web Slide.
  • Draw, annotate, and type simultaneously to simulate the natural interactivity of an in-person meeting environment. Share ideas while collaborating on a Whiteboard or brainstorming on a Text Slide.
  • Develop key competencies in Microsoft Office OneNote that incorporates collaborative features for the business professional to share notes and information

EVALUATION:
    A point system will be used to evaluate a student’s progress. Points will be assigned to written work, lab exercises, class participation and various written and hands on exams.
