COURSE DESCRIPTION:
The study of the arts of the Renaissance in Italy which set the stage for the development of modern art. Masterpieces of art are shown through slides and films. In-depth discussions and readings probe artists and their ideas. Credit will not be granted for ARTS 115 and ARTS 111 or 112.
PREREQUISITES:
Place into ENGL121.
NOTES:

COURSE OBJECTIVES / GOALS:
The student will gain a general understanding of the importance of the evolution of art from Renaissance to modern 20th century styles.


TOPICAL OUTLINE:
The course covers -the 15th, 16th, 17th, 18th, and 19th centuries as well as modern 20th century styles.
