Fire Science

Associate in Applied Science Degree

This Fire Science curriculum is designed to give students the academic background and initial training for careers in fire fighting. Upon completion of the program, a DACC Associate in Applied Science degree will be granted. This is a career curriculum, not meant for Baccalaureate degree transfer.

Students must complete INST 101, Success in College, as a requirement for graduation.

+Eligibility for Illinois State Fire Marshal Certification: Student must be 18 years old before day of final exam and an active member of a fire department, whether on paid or volunteer status.

Designated as a Tech Prep program.
