Education: Paraprofessional Educator Option (K-12)

Associate in Applied Science Degree

The Paraprofessional Option in the Education Program meets the requirement of the State of Illinois for the training of teaching assistants. A criminal background check is required for all courses for which students must complete observation hours. Students must complete the criminal background check only once, as long as students are continuously enrolled. Students completing their practicums must meet DCFS requirements.

Students must complete INST 101, Success in College, as a requirement for graduation.
