The DACC men's and women's team finished up a very successful 2011 season. The women's team were Region 24 champions lead by a quartet of all-region runners Marily Angel, Alison Burkowski, Belinda Cohen and Irma Bautista all helped the Jaguars clinch a spot to the NJCAA Cross-Country Meet in Hobbs, New Mexico. At the meet the women placed 20th overall. The men's team captured a Region 24 title as well. Luis Carbajal, Hiruy Abraha, and Austin Dart all earned all-region honors giving the Jaguars back-to-back Region 24 titles. The men's team finished 10th at the NJCAA meet, their highest finish since moving to Division I. Luis Carbajal also earned Honorable Mention All-American Honors with a 14th place finish. Both teams swept the Region meet for the first time since 1997.
