Camps

Boy's and Girl's Basketball Camp - June 10-14 from 9:00-Noon
Grades 4th-6th (entering into Fall of '13) Learn all fundamentals of basketball: including shooting, passing, defense, dribbling, rules of the game, and good sportsmanship. Campers will receive a T-shirt, prizes for contests, and certificate of completion.
Cost $50

Boy's and Girl's Basketball Camp II - June 17-21 from 9:00-Noon
Grades 7th-12th (entering into Fall '13) There will be individual instruction in the techniques of offense and defense at all positions. Instruction on shooting, passing, defense, dribbling, and teamwork will be emphasized. Campers will receive a T-Shirt, prizes for contests, and certificate of completion.
Cost $50

Volleyball Camp - June 24-28 from 9:00-Noon
Grades 5th-12th (entering into Fall '13) Participants will receive a T-Shirt, evaluation, and certificate of completion. DACC players and coaches will teach serving, volleying, setting, spiking, and the mental approach to Volleyball.
Cost $50

Sports Announcers Camp - June 17-21 from 12:30-4:30
Grades 7th-12th (entering into Fall '13) Participants will receive a T-Shirt, evaluation form, and certificate of completion. You will be instructed by WDAN Radio Sports Announcers, and have special guest speakers from the broadcasting community. Instruction will consist of classroom, lab, and live play by play.
Cost $60


Meet the DACC Coaches…

Mike Carpenter just completed his 19th season as a college coach and 7th as the Head Men's Basketball Coach at DACC. He has coached at the NCAA Divison I, NAIA and Junior College levels. He has worked/directed Camps throughout the Midwest and Internationally, as well as being on Bob Knight's camp staff multiple times.

Kyle Bent just completed his 3nd season as the Head Coach at DACC. He has coached the University Illinois women's club basketball team to a national championship in 2010, and has worked numerous basketball camps.
