Associate degree programs
DACC offers several types of Associate degrees.
Associate Degree in Applied Science: This degree is a two-year program designed to prepare the student for immediate employment in his or her chosen field. These courses are not designed to transfer; however, many universities will accept courses in these programs toward fulfillment of specific degree requirements.
Associate Degree in Nursing: This degree is granted to those students who successfully complete a career curriculum in nursing. The graduate of this program is qualified to take the Licensure Exam for Registered Nursing (NCLEX-RN). The program is approved by the Illinois Articulation Initiative and thus, courses will be accepted toward fulfillment of specified baccalaureate degree requirements by many colleges and universities.
Associate Degree in Science and Arts (ASA) or Associate in Engineering Science Degree: These degrees are designed to transfer and fulfill the course requirements for the first two years of a baccalaureate degree.
