Approximately one week before the semester starts, students who have been "waitlisted" will have the option to register for the waitlisted course if a seat has opened up due to students being dropped for non-payment. The "Wait List Day" for each semester is set by the Registration Office. You should be notified of this day when you are actually waitlisted for the course.
Waitlisted students are not guaranteed a seat in the course. Students on the wait list are not placed ahead of or behind others on the list (i.e. a student who is first on the list has no advantage over a student who is fifth on the list).
Students on the wait list are not automatically placed in the course if an opening should occur. It is actually the students' responsibility to call the Registration Office between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. to see if there are any openings. After 12:00 p.m. on the specified "Wait List Day" of each semester, all wait lists will be canceled. After this point, students are invited to call the Registration Office to see if courses open up for enrollment.
