Transfer Credit Used for General Education Requirements
(Communications, Science, Math, Social Science, Humanities)

Situation: A student transfers in 3 courses that are equivalent to our Rhetoric & Composition I, Rhetoric & Composition II, and Public Speaking (ENGL 101, ENGL 102, SPCH 102), but the hours accumulated do not equal 9 semester hours. Note: This situation could also occur with Science, Mathematics, Social Science, or Humanities degree requirements.

DACC Policy: To accept general education hours transferred to DACC, despite the difference in credit hours, as meeting the general education hours requirements. Students still need to meet the total credit hour requirement for the degree (= 60 credit hours or more), but they can make-up the credit hour difference with approved general education electives.
