NOTES
  1. The Foreign Language requirement may be met by completing four years of a single foreign language in high school or four semesters of collegiate work.  Three years of high school or 2 semesters of college is required for admission.
  2. Students interested in the Psychology program are required to take at least two Psychology classes in addition to PSYC 100 with a GPA of 3.0 or better prior to transfer. PSYC 101 Child Development OR PSYC 210 Human Development, PSYC 230 Abnormal Psychology, PSYC 240 Social Psychology, or PSYC 250 Personality.  At least one of these psychology electives should be chosen from the psychology classes on DACC’s general education list.
  3. State-wide general education core recognizes only 4th semester level foreign language for credit in humanities.  Therefore, students who completed 4 years of foreign language in high school must take a humanities elective in this slot.
  4. Effective Fall 1992, new students or re-entering students absent more than two years and seeking an A.S.A. degree are required to take at least one course with human relations content.  See your counselor for a list of courses that fulfill this requirement.
  5. Electives should be selected which will meet state-wide general education requirements  as well as general education requirements at Danville Area Community College.  See DACC counselor for general education requirements for DACC and U of I.
