 Transfer Admission Requirements

  1. 2.0 Grade Point Average (4.0 scale)

NOTES
  1. Biological Sciences Education majors are required to take PSYC 100-Introduction to Psychology, SPCH 101-Oral Communications or SPCH 102-Public Speaking, HLTH 101-Contemporary Health, and MUSI 115-Music Appreciation. They are also required to take POLI 150-American Government and HIST 152-U.S. History 1865 to Present.  Education majors should take EDUC 101-Nature of Teaching Profession, or EDUC 270-Education/Exceptional Child instead of MATH 161.
  2. Admission to the University does not guarantee admission in the Teacher Education Program.
  3. DACC recommends a three (3) hour course in Third World or Non-Western Culture, either in Humanities or Social Science.  It is required for teacher certification majors.
  4. Effective Fall 1992, new students or re-entering students absent more than two years and seeking an A.S.A. degree are required to take at least one course with human relations content.  See your counselor for list of courses that fulfill this requirement.
