Transfer Admission Requirements

  1. 2.0 Grade Point Average (4.0 scale)
NOTES
  1. DACC recommends a three (3) hour course in Third World or Non-Western Culture, either in Humanities or Social Science.
  2. EIU requires either 2  years of the same foreign language in high school, or 2 semesters of college foreign language.
  3. Effective Fall 1992, new students or re-entering students absent more than two years and seeking an A.S.A. degree are required to take at least one course with human relations content.  See your counselor for a list of courses that fulfill this requirement.
  4. At EIU, all students must have completed a foreign language in either high school or college.  This requirement may be met by completing 2 years of a single foreign language in high school or 2 semesters of a single foreign language in college.
  5. New Students Fall 1992--should check with their advisor about EIU’s Integrated Core of General Education; especially students who do not plan to complete an Associate in Science and Arts degree at DACC.
  6. Recommended as electives are CECN 102 Microeconomics, and CECN 103 Macroeconomics.
